What is Cannabidiol? (CBD)
Cannabidiol is a well-known non-psychoactive, phytocannabinoid that comes from the hemp plant. CBD binds to receptors throughout the brain, central nervous system and immune system that act in neural communication, providing a variety of benefits. In 2003, the United States Government patented it as a neuroprotectant and antioxidant. The benefits that come from CBD are seemingly limitless as virtually every system in the human body has CBD receptors.
The endocannabinoid system (ECS), is the most important physiologic system involved in establishing and maintaining human health. The ECS is a group of endogenous cannabinoid receptors located in the brain and throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems, consisting of neuromodulatory lipids and their receptors. CBD specifically interacts with the CB1 and CB2 receptors that transmit signals to wake up and strengthen the endocannabinoid system naturally. This is because our ECS is intricately linked to our nervous system and immune system, as well as our brain and digestive system. The cannabinoid system performs different tasks, but the goal is always the same: homeostasis, the maintenance of a stable internal environment despite fluctuations in the external environment.
Because our process is so selective, the result is a very enriched, 70-85% CBD that is free of solvents and heavy metals. What’s left is a highly beneficial chemical compound ideal for anyone who wants the therapeutic benefits of CBD, CBDa, CBN, CBDv and a whole host of naturally occurring terpenes without the psychoactive effects of THC. We then go a step further employing our nano emulsification process which increases bioavailability (absorption). Nano-enhanced Absorption Technology or NEAT increases bioavailability by up to 500% in blood serum level testing. The complete chemical environment of the hemp oil is preserved and is safe for everyone from senior citizens to first responders.
Hemp is a super-plant that produces many different compounds. These compounds can be found in other plant species, but more than sixty of them are specific to the cannabis plant. Scientists call these special compounds “cannabinoids.” Cannabinoids found in hemp are derived from the aerial parts of the plant. A particular cannabinoid called cannabidiol (CBD) appears to offer many medicinal and therapeutic benefits and is poised to change medicine as we know it today. CBD also has no severe side effects, making it an attractive natural option for the masses.
What we provide for the end user is an oil made from actual flowering Cannabis which provides more terpenes, minor cannabinoids and more of the results that you are seeking. Be aware that the rapid growth of this industry has brought on an onslaught of companies selling inferior products produced from cheap isolate and synthetics, many of which are imported from Europe or China. By working directly with the Colorado farmers and the scientists who produce this product we can provide a superior CBD oil at the price point of an isolate in a time when most full and broad spectrum oils are still selling for over $150 USD.
